Riegler's cutting ring fittings of the light series connect metal tubes via a cutting ring that bites into the tube surface as it is tightened, forming a firm, tight joint. They are made of brass.
The programme covers straight male fittings with R threads from R 1/8 through R 1/4 and R 3/8 to R 1/2 for tube outside diameters of roughly 4 to 15 mm. They are used to connect rigid pipework in pneumatics and hydraulics.

Function and Use
As it is tightened, the ring cuts into the metal tube and secures it against pull-out. The straight male fittings of the light series with R threads from R 1/8 to R 1/2 suit rigid pipework of 4 to 15 mm outside diameter.
