Ball valves and shut-off valves
Pneumatically actuated shut-off valves of the VIP series switch a line through an integrated air actuator that drives the plug onto the seat inside a brass body. The range holds 64 items with female threads from G 1/2" to G 1-1/2", covering nominal bores DN 15 to DN 40, complemented by seal kits offered as spare parts.
Two decisions shape the selection: actuator function and sealing material. Spring closing valves shut the line once control air is lost, spring opening valves release it, double acting units hold the commanded position. Every function comes either with the standard seal or sealed by FKM; selected variants carry a magnetic limit switch that reports the valve position back to the controller.
Pick the body size from the thread on the line, between G 1/2" and G 1-1/2". Then set the fail safe position: spring closing where the line has to be tight when control air drops out, spring opening for the reverse case, double acting where control air stays permanently available. For temperatures up to +150 °C, or for oils, take the FKM version. Where the controller has to read back the valve state, use the variant with a magnetic limit switch; for maintenance, seal kits in nitrile as well as in FKM are listed separately.
Isolating compressed air, water and oil lines in machine building and plant engineering, for example on cooling circuits, flushing lines and lubrication points from DN 15 to DN 40. Spring closing units secure feed lines that have to be closed while the plant stands still. Variants with a limit switch work in sequenced processes, where the controller checks the valve position before releasing the next step.
