Hose clamps seal a hose end onto a barbed tail or a pipe. The catalogue holds 243 items, mostly stainless steel worm drive clamps in material classes W4 (1.4301) and W5 (1.4401/1.4571). Clamping ranges run from 10 - 16 mm up to 90 - 110 mm, with a band width of 9 mm in the standard series and 12 mm in the »blow line« series. The items come from Oetiker, Riegler, Norma and Band-It as well as under Fluidics equipment.
When selecting, the hose outside diameter should sit in the middle third of the clamping range, otherwise the worm drive does not engage properly. Only stainless clamps belong in a water glycol loop; galvanised versions and aluminium are ruled out. The 12 mm band spreads the load over a larger area and suits soft or thick walled hose. Retightening after the first hours of operation is normal, because the elastomer settles.
