Measurement, Monitoring and Leak Detection
Test Points, Thermowells, Test Connections
Test connections are the points at which a cooling loop can be measured without opening it. A test point stays permanently in the line, is coupled only for the measurement and reseals itself afterwards; a thermowell holds the temperature probe so it can be exchanged while the plant runs. The category holds 301 items from Fluidics equipment, Stauff, Wika and Riegler: M 16x2 test points, gauge connections, test hoses and complete pressure test cases.
The M 16x2 base thread adapts to G 1/4, G 3/8, G 1/2, NPT 1/8, NPT 1/4, M 12x1.5 and M 14x1.5, so one coupling fits every existing measuring position. The connections are rated 630 bar and usable from -20 to +200 °C, made in 1.4571 and 1.4305. Both stainless grades are unrestricted in a water-glycol loop. Test hoses come in 800, 1500 and 2000 mm, and the Stauff Test 20 case carries three stainless gauges of 63 mm dial.

Typical Applications
- permanent measuring positions at pump set, manifold and heat exchanger
- mobile pressure readings with a test case during maintenance and fault finding
- holding temperature probes in thermowells for exchange while the plant runs
- sampling from the return line to assess the cooling medium
- acceptance and pressure testing of new pipe sections before commissioning
- comparative readings at several points of one branch with a single gauge
