Tube fittings
SAE flanges and flange fittings
SAE flange connections for hydraulic lines: straight and elbow flange connectors with tube end or female thread, flange halves, blanking and closing flanges, intermediate flanges with gauge port and flange connectors for pump flanges. SAE sizes run from 1/2" to 4" in the 3000 PSI pressure class and from 1/2" to 2" in the 6000 PSI class, closing flanges go up to 5". Tube ends cover the light series from 10 L to 42 L and the heavy series from 16 S to 38 S. Threaded fittings without a flange are listed under straight and elbow fittings.
Go straight to the parts by standard or by the port thread of the pump flange connectors.

How to choose SAE flanges and flange fittings
What matters when choosing: properties, comparison and typical applications.
Selection criteria
| Criterion | Options | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Component | straight or elbow flange connector, flange halves, blanking and closing flange, intermediate flange with gauge port, weld-on flange | Choose by task: connect a line, close off a port or add a test point |
| Pressure class | 3000 PSI, 6000 PSI | The bolt patterns of the classes differ, so flange and mating flange must come from the same class |
| SAE size | 1/2" to 4" (3000 PSI), 1/2" to 2" (6000 PSI), closing flange up to 5" | Read the size from the mating flange on the pump, valve or manifold |
| Line connection | tube 10 L to 42 L, tube 16 S to 38 S, female thread G 3/8 to G 4, port G 3/8 to G 1 | For tube ends check series L or S and the tube OD, for example 25 S with M36x2 |
| Pump flange | bolt circle LK 40, LK 35, LK 55, LK 40-M8, LK 30 | Check the bolt circle and screw thread on the pump housing |
| Material | galvanised steel, stainless steel | Choose stainless steel where the environment or the medium requires it |
| Flange halves | flange 30.2 to 101.6 mm, operating pressure up to 100 to 350 bar | Check the permitted operating pressure for each flange size, it lies between 100 and 350 bar |
