Labelling and plant documentation answer at the component itself what a line carries, in which direction it flows and which circuit it belongs to. In a data centre the flow and return of the water-glycol loop, chilled water, condensate and compressed air often run side by side through the same plant room, in redundant pairs and in identical pipe sizes. Anyone closing a valve or breaking a union has to know beforehand which of the parallel circuits is affected. Pipe marking to DIN 2403 with medium, flow direction and colour group provides that basis, supplemented by cable marking, labels and marking tapes.
This section currently describes the function of marking within the cooling loop; no products are listed yet and the range is being built up. What counts are carrier materials that withstand condensation, cleaning agents and permanent humidity in the plant room, and marking that remains exchangeable during modifications and leaves no adhesive residue on stainless steel, PVC or painted pipework.
