Piping and Connection Technology
Manifolds, Headers, Connection Blocks
Manifolds, headers and connection blocks split one run into several ports or bring several lines back together. In a data centre this is the basic form of every manifold: a supply bar with several ports and a return bar with the same number of returns. 496 references are available, from the elbow and tee multi-port fittings of the »Blaue Serie« with 2, 4 and 6 ports, through push-in multi-port manifolds in nickel-plated brass, to the cross header with four Rp 3/4 female ports in stainless 1.4408.
These parts are the basis for building rack and row manifolds in house; ready-made assemblies for the IT level are listed under Rack and Row Manifolds. Selection turns on the number of ports, the thread form at inlet and outlet, the hose outside diameter on the push-in side, and the material: stainless 1.4408 without restriction, nickel-plated brass only in a single-metal loop.

| Cross header | 3 usable ports | Rp 3/4 female | 3 x Rp 3/4 female | stainless 1.4408 |
Typical applications
- Building supply and return bars for rack and row manifolds
- Splitting one run across several cold plates or cooling modules
- Collecting the returns of several consumers into a common line
- Connection blocks that gather instrumentation, venting and filling in one place
- Control-air distribution to valve islands and actuators of the chiller plant
- Adding further ports when a row is extended
