Couplings and Disconnects
Data Center
Couplings and disconnects form the releasable joints in the liquid circuit of a data centre: between rack manifold and server, between coolant distribution unit and riser, and at fill, flush and test points. This branch holds 2,002 items from Nitto Kohki, Cejn, Riegler, LinkTech and Sang-A as well as our own brand. The range covers non-drip designs of the Zero Spill Cupla series, temperature control and hot water couplings, multi-couplings and sealing caps for open ports. Stainless steel AISI 316 and 1.4408 dominate, alongside brass versions.
Four parameters govern selection: nominal bore and the resulting pressure drop, valve design and therefore the residual volume released on disconnect, port thread in G, Rp, R or NPT, and material pairing with pipework, manifold and heat exchanger. In a water-glycol circuit stainless steel, PVDF, PP, PE, PTFE, POM and PVC are unrestricted. Brass, gunmetal and bronze only where the whole circuit uses the same material family; galvanised steel and aluminium not at all.

- Direct liquid cooling of servers: disconnect between cold plate and rack manifold
- Coolant distribution and risers: releasable joints for maintenance and rebuilds during operation
- Filling, flushing and venting the water-glycol circuit at commissioning
- Test and measuring points for pressure, flow and conductivity readings
- Rear door heat exchangers and immersion tanks: connecting supply and return lines
- Closing unused manifold outlets against dirt ingress and leakage
