Pipe and hose processing covers the tools that bring cooling circuit lines to length and make them ready for assembly. Six items from Fluidics equipment and Riegler span the route from cut to marked insertion depth: ratchet hose cutters for 0 to 42 mm and 0 to 63 mm, also suitable for plastic pipe, pipe deburring tools in the 3 to 42 mm, 8 to 35 mm and 10 to 56 mm ranges, and a depth marking and deburring tool for connectors of 35 to 54 mm diameter.
In the water-glycol circuit of a data centre, burrs and swarf are not a cosmetic issue. They score O-rings as the tube is pushed home, travel into pumps and lodge in the narrow channels of cold plates. The deburring tools use an aluminium body with black stainless steel cutters, and the heavy duty versions cover the larger diameters and frequent use. The depth marking tool deburrs and marks in a single pass, so a push-fit connector is visibly seated over its full length.
