Condor - Pressure switches and control units for compressors

Reliable pressure and compressor control for compressed air systems

Condor is an established manufacturer of pressure switches and control units for compressors and pneumatic systems. The MDR series switches compressors on and off according to pressure and thus protects the drive and the compressed air system in continuous operation.

With us you will find the Condor programme for new installation and maintenance - from the complete compressor pressure switch through motor protection relays and unloader valves to replacement covers and replacement diaphragms. This keeps existing plant running economically and equips new compressors in line with the relevant standards.

Choosing the right Condor pressure switch

Define the pressure range

Select the pressure switch according to the required switching pressure range of your compressor. The MDR series covers graduated ranges, for example from 5 to 16 bar or from 12 to 35 bar. Make sure that the nominal pressure of your system lies within the setting range.

With or without rotary switch

Models are available with a rotary switch (on/off operation, designation K) or without a rotary switch, that is with a push button. An integrated switch makes manual operation directly at the unit easier.

  • With rotary switch (K): convenient switching on and off at the pressure switch.
  • Without rotary switch: for systems with a separate control.

Motor protection and connection

Check the motor current and select the matching motor protection relay by ampere range, for example 16 to 20 A or 20 to 24 A. The compressed air port of the MDR switches is designed as G 1/2 inch.

Spare parts for maintenance

For existing plant, replacement covers, replacement diaphragms and unloader valves are available to match the respective MDR series. Wear parts can therefore be replaced selectively without replacing the complete pressure switch.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Condor

What are Condor MDR pressure switches used for?

Condor MDR pressure switches control compressors depending on pressure: they switch the compressor on when the lower pressure is reached and off again at the upper pressure. This automatically keeps the operating pressure in compressed air systems within the required range.

What does the designation K mean on Condor pressure switches?

At Condor the designation K stands for a model with a rotary switch that allows manual switching on and off directly at the pressure switch. Models without K come without a rotary switch, that is with a push button, and are intended for systems with a separate control.

Which motor protection relay suits my Condor pressure switch?

You select the matching Condor motor protection relay by the motor current in amperes. Available ranges include, for example, 16 to 20 A or 20 to 24 A for the MDR 3 series. The rated current of your compressor motor should lie within the setting range of the relay.

Which compressed air port do the Condor MDR pressure switches have?

The Condor MDR compressor pressure switches are fitted with a G 1/2 inch compressed air port. When replacing a unit, make sure that the port size and the pressure range match your system.

Are there spare parts for Condor pressure switches?

Yes, replacement covers, replacement diaphragms and unloader valves are available for the MDR series. Wear parts can therefore be replaced selectively without exchanging the complete pressure switch, which makes maintenance of existing plant easier.
