Push-In Fittings and Quick Connectors
Push-in fittings and quick connectors join hose and tube without tools: the line is pushed home against the stop, a gripping ring holds it and a sealing ring closes the joint. 3,743 references are available, mainly from the »Blaue Serie«, »metallica«, »click-clock« and »NonPlusUltra« ranges as well as from Sang-A. Body shapes run from the straight push-in fitting through elbow, tee and wye to plug-in nipples and blanking plugs. Hose outside diameters from 3 to 14 mm meet threads from G 1/4 to G 1/2 and R 1/4 to R 3/8, in male and female form.
Swivel versions decouple the hose routing from the tightening torque and let the line be aligned after installation. The material rule of the branch applies unchanged: nickel-plated brass only in single-metal sections, polymer bodies and stainless threads without restriction. Push-in fittings are built for fast assembly, not for constant tension or vibration; at such points a hose tail with a clamp or a screwed union is the correct choice.

Body shapes, hose sizes and threads of the four ranges
| Range | Body shapes in stock | Hose outside diameter | Thread | Swivel |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| »Blaue Serie« | straight, elbow, tee, wye, multi-port manifold | 6 to 14 mm | G 1/4 to G 1/2 and R 1/4 to R 3/8, male and female | yes |
| »metallica« | straight push-in fitting, straight connector, elbow | 3 to 10 mm | G 1/4 and G 1/2 male | elbow swivels |
| »click-clock« | elbow push-in fitting | 10 mm | G 3/8 male | yes |
| »NonPlusUltra« | plug-in nipple, blanking plug | 4 mm | no thread, pack of 10 | not applicable |
| Push-in connector, nickel-plated brass | straight, elbow, tee with female thread | 10 mm | G 1/4 | depending on version |
Typical applications
- Connecting polymer hose to equipment, valves and manifolds
- Control-air and signal lines on valves and actuators of the chiller plant
- Small-bore measuring and tapping lines
- Temporary connections during commissioning, flushing and leak testing
- Blanking unused push-in ports with a blanking plug
- Modifications during operation without tooling at the hose end
