Safety valves and instrumentation
Pressure transmitters convert the applied pressure into a continuous electrical signal, at an accuracy of 0.5 % of span. The 59 versions cover measuring ranges from 0 to 1 bar up to 0 to 400 bar.
Available outputs are 4 to 20 mA in two-wire technique plus 0 to 10 V. Electrical connection is made through an angled connector or a circular connector M12. Selection follows the measuring range, the signal type, plus the question whether cable length calls for a current signal.
Pressure transmitters record operating pressure in hydraulic power units, pump stations, compressed air networks plus test benches, delivering the reading to a controller or a data logger. Spans from 0 to 1 bar up to 0 to 6 bar suit pneumatic plants plus vessel monitoring, spans from 0 to 160 bar upwards suit hydraulics plus pressing technology. A 4 to 20 mA current signal is chosen wherever long cable runs separate the measuring point from the control cabinet.
