Cutting rings plus NC clamping rings form the gripping element inside compression tube fittings for precision steel tube. This range holds 68 separate rings covering tube outside diameters from 4 up to 42 mm, matched to nut threads M8x1 through M52x2.
As the nut is tightened, the cutting ring bites into the tube surface, creating a metal to metal joint against the fitting cone. The NC clamping ring, made of 1.4571, grips the tube while leaving its surface uncut. A further version carries an added elastomer seal. Rated pressure runs from 100 up to 400 bar, depending on size as well as version.
Loose rings go into maintenance work whenever a joint has to be remade after repeated release, also when a ring was damaged during dismantling. On new pipework they cover extra joints created as tube gets cut to length. Stainless tube runs call for the 1.4571 ring, keeping tube plus gripping element in matching material. Lines above 250 bar rely on heavy series S sizes, while thin walled gauge lines use series LL from 4 mm upwards.
