Ball valves and shut-off valves
Köly ball valves, DVGW certified
These ball valves in nickel plated brass come factory assembled on a pneumatic quarter turn actuator, so the ball is driven through 90 degrees by control air. The series is DVGW certified and covers 66 versions in female thread sizes from G 1/4" to G 4", which corresponds to nominal bores of DN 11 up to DN 100.
Three parameters govern the choice: thread size on the pipe, actuator function, plus sealing material. Double acting actuators need control air in both directions, while spring closing and spring opening units move to a defined fail safe position as soon as control air is lost. Each of these three functions is also offered in a version sealed by FKM.

How to choose Köly ball valves, DVGW certified
What matters when choosing: properties, comparison and typical applications.
Technical data
Selection and installation
Fix thread size and nominal bore first, then decide the fail safe position: spring closing shuts the line when control air fails, spring opening releases it, double acting holds the last commanded position. For fluids above +120 °C, or for oils, choose the variant sealed by FKM. Face to face length grows from 67 mm on the small threads to 216 mm on G 4", which has to be allowed for in the pipe run as well as in the clearance above the actuator.
Applications
Isolating and switching duties on gas and compressed air lines, at burners, heating stations and distribution manifolds where a defined position on loss of control air is required. Equally used in plant and machine building on water, oil and process lines from DN 11 to DN 100. Large bores DN 64 to DN 100 sit on headers and main isolating points, small threads G 1/4" and G 3/8" on measuring and auxiliary branches.
