Safety valves and instrumentation
TÜV angle safety valves for steam
Angle safety valves limit the pressure inside steam boilers and compressed air receivers by discharging automatically as soon as the set pressure is reached. This range covers 367 versions, from G 1/2" to G 2" connection threads in nominal sizes DN 10 to DN 25, all of them in a gunmetal body.
Two variants are available: one approved for saturated steam boilers to TRD group 1, the other intended purely for compressed air plus further non-toxic, non-flammable gases. Set pressures are factory set in graded steps between 1 bar and 16 bar, for example 2.5 bar, 4.5 bar, 6.0 bar, 7.7 bar, 10.5 bar or 14.5 bar.

Applications
The saturated steam version protects steam boilers to TRD group 1, steam manifolds as well as heated vessels in laundries, food plants and heating stations. The gas version safeguards air receivers, compressor rooms, air service units plus piping carrying compressed air or other non-toxic, non-flammable gases. Selection follows the permissible working pressure of the vessel: the set pressure between 1 bar and 16 bar stays below that figure, while the nominal size from DN 10 to DN 25 follows the volume to be released. The angle body screws straight into a vessel socket, so no additional elbow is needed.
