Gaskets for threaded pipe couplings to DIN 11851 sit between the cone liner and the slotted nut of a dairy union and seal the detachable joint. The programme covers 72 versions for DN 10 through DN 150, in dimensions from 12x20x4,5 mm up to 155x167x7 mm.
Nominal size and elastomer govern the choice: EPDM (black) for hot water and cleaning solutions, FKM (green) for fats and oils, silicone (natural) for a wide temperature span. For aggressive products there is the fully encapsulated FKM / PTFE version, where a PTFE jacket shields the elastomer core from the fluid.
Wear part on dairy pipe unions in dairies, breweries, beverage and food plants, as well as in pharmaceutical process lines. The rings are replaced every time a union is opened, and after thermal load from hot cleaning cycles.
