Straight female stud couplings with a metric thread accept a precision steel tube through cutting ring plus union nut, while the threaded socket screws onto a metric male spigot. Nothing is driven into a tapped hole here, the mating part carries the thread. The range holds 91 versions, covering female threads from M 10x1 to M 48x2 plus tube outside diameters from 6 L to 42 L as well as 6 S to 38 S.
Socket thread as well as tube series have to be chosen separately: the female thread follows the spigot on the equipment or on the nipple, the tube series follows the installed line. Light series L differs from heavy series S in cone angle plus clamping ring, so the two cannot be swapped. Materials are zinc plated steel as well as stainless steel 1.4571, joined by a version whose clamping ring in 1.4571 sits on a plated body.
The socket thread rarely matches the tube thread at the opposite end: M 18x1,5 is offered on tube 15 L (M22x1,5) as well as on tube 12 S (M20x1,5), while M 10x1 goes to tube 6 L (M12x1,5). Take both values separately, one from the machine, one from the line. A clamping ring in 1.4571 on a plated body suits cases where only the sealing point has to resist corrosion. On rebuilds, bodies supplied without nut plus cutting ring save re-cutting the tube end.
