Safety valves and instrumentation
This range covers 1221 versions of TÜV type-approved safety valves in nominal size DN 8. Every valve is factory set, and the sealed versions cannot be readjusted during operation. Set pressures across the range run from 0.2 to 50 bar, with documented single values such as 8.20 bar, 13.10 bar, 18.00 bar and 49.00 bar.
Connection threads available are G 1/4", G 3/8" and G 1/2". Brass bodies cover compressed air and neutral media, while stainless steel 1.4401 and 1.4571 handle corrosive service. Discharge capacity of the individual valves ranges from 14 to 1098 m³/h.
These valves protect air receivers, compressor stations, air service assemblies and small pressure circuits against excess pressure. Brass versions suit compressed air, nitrogen and other neutral gases, while stainless steel 1.4401 and 1.4571 also cover water, oil and corrosive media. Systems operating at set pressures up to 50 bar typically use the G 1/2" sizes, whereas smaller circuits run on G 1/4". Discharge capacity has to be selected so that it exceeds the maximum inflow of the pressure source.
