WIKA industrial bimetal thermometers, vertical

Industrial bimetal thermometers measure temperature purely mechanically, without auxiliary power. In the vertical design the stem leaves the case at a right angle downwards, so the dial stays readable from the front. Two dial sizes are offered, 100 mm as well as 160 mm.

The range covers 63 versions, from a display range of -30 to +50 °C up to 0 to +250 °C, stem lengths of 63, 100, 160 as well as 200 mm, plus scale divisions of 1 K or 2 K. All instruments come without a thermowell for direct installation and operate in accuracy class 1.

How to choose WIKA industrial bimetal thermometers, vertical

What matters when choosing: properties, comparison and typical applications.

Technical data

⚡Display range -30 to +250 °C - eight graded scales, among them 0 to +60 °C, 0 to +100 °C, 0 to +120 °C, 0 to +160 °C as well as 0 to +200 °C.
⚡Stem length 63 to 200 mm - four lengths (63, 100, 160, 200 mm) covering different pipe diameters as well as immersion depths.
⚡Scale division 1 K or 2 K - 1 K suits narrow spans such as 0 to +60 °C, 2 K suits wide scales reaching +250 °C.
⚡Dial size 100 mm or 160 mm - the larger dial improves readability at a distance.
⚡Accuracy class 1 - industrial version limiting the error to 1 percent of the scale length.
⚡63 versions without thermowell - vertical design for direct mounting into pipework or vessels.

Applications

Typical mounting points include heating circuits, hot water lines, boilers, buffer tanks, chilled water loops as well as process pipework in machinery construction. Heating water usually stays within 0 to +80 °C or 0 to +120 °C, whereas thermal oil circuits and steam lines call for scales up to 0 to +250 °C. The -30 to +50 °C range serves refrigeration plants, air conditioning systems and cold storage rooms. Short stems of 63 or 100 mm fit small nominal bores, while 160 mm along with 200 mm suit large vessels.
