Hose tails with internal cone
Threaded fittings
Hose tails with internal cone take a flexible hose onto a parallel pipe thread. The barbed shank is pushed into the hose bore and held there by a clamp or ferrule, while the threaded end carries a machined internal cone that acts as the sealing face. The category holds 130 versions covering hose bores from 2 to 50 (2") mm, rated up to 40 bar.
Three figures decide the choice: hose bore, thread size on the equipment side, plus the material. The tails are produced in brass, in zinc plated steel as well as in stainless steel 1.4571. Threads range from small M 5 through G 1/4" plus G 3/8" up to G 1/2". Hexagon flats at the threaded end run from 4,5 to 65 mm across, so every size can be tightened by a standard spanner.
Pick the tail by hose bore, never by thread size alone: a tail carrying G 1/4" is combined, depending on the job, with hoses from 6 (1/4") up to 13 (1/2") mm. The shank has to sit fully inside the hose, the clamp gripping beyond the end of the shank. On 1.4571 as well as plated steel parts, hold the hexagon with a second spanner so that no torque travels into the hose line while tightening.
Compressed air distribution in workshops plus assembly cells, where hose lines run to compressors, air treatment units as well as distribution rails. Further use in coolant plus flushing circuits on machine tools, in cleaning plants, on test benches taking hose bores of 25 (1") mm upwards. Brass tails serve general air plus water duty, versions in 1.4571 go into chemical plants as well as wet rooms.
