Air service units, 2-part, Futura series 1

The 2-part air service units of the Futura series 1 combine a filter regulator and a lubricator in one block, using G 1/4" and G 3/8" connection threads. The pressure regulating range spans 0.1 - 1 bar to 0.5 - 16 bar depending on the version, while the matching gauges cover display ranges from 0 - 1.6 bar to 0 - 25 bar.

The series covers 63 versions: a plastic bowl with protective cage or a metal bowl with sight tube, semi-automatic, automatic or non-pressurised automatic condensate drain, plus the safety unit with an upstream lockable ball valve and filling valve.

How to choose Air service units, 2-part, Futura series 1

What matters when choosing: properties, comparison and typical applications.

Technical data

⚡Pressure regulating range - six bands from 0.1 - 1 bar through 0.2 - 4 bar to 0.5 - 8 bar, 0.5 - 10 bar, 0.5 - 16 bar
◎Gauge display range - 0 - 1.6 bar, 0 - 2.5 bar, 0 - 6 bar, 0 - 10 bar, 0 - 16 bar or 0 - 25 bar, matched to the regulating band
⚙Connection threads - G 1/4" as well as G 3/8" within the same body size
🔧Bowl design - two options: plastic bowl protected by a cage, or metal bowl with sight tube
🔒Two build types - standard unit, or safety unit whose upstream ball valve can be padlocked, combined with a filling valve
💧Condensate drain - three types: semi-automatic, automatic, automatic when depressurised

Applications

These assemblies sit at the compressed air inlet of machines, assembly cells and test rigs, conditioning the supply to cylinders, valve terminals, clamping devices and pneumatic tools. Low bands starting at 0.1 - 1 bar suit delicate grippers, feeders and light pressing duties, whereas versions up to 0.5 - 16 bar serve drives that need high force. A metal bowl with sight tube is chosen where solvent vapours, swarf or mechanical load rule out plastic. The safety build type allows a line to be locked off, vented, then refilled in a controlled way before service work.
