Directional control valves switch air flows between actuators, shut-off valves prevent backflow, and pressure and flow valves limit pressure or flow rate. The programme additionally covers process and media valves plus accessories for connection and mounting.

Valve Types at a Glance
Directional control valves switch and distribute air flows and are classified by ports and switching positions, for example 3/2 or 5/2 way.
Shut-off valves let air pass in one direction only and serve as check or quick-exhaust valves.
Pressure valves keep a set pressure constant or limit it to a maximum.
Flow valves throttle the volume flow and thus control the speed of actuators.
Proportional valves set pressure or flow rate steplessly according to an electrical setpoint.
