WIKA chemical bimetal thermometers, vertical

Vertical bimetal thermometers in chemical design read the process temperature purely mechanically, without auxiliary power. This series comprises 112 versions in the case sizes 63 mm as well as 100 mm, covering display ranges from -50 to +50 °C up to 0 to +600 °C.

Stem lengths of 63, 100, 160 as well as 200 mm are available, while the scale division is 1, 2, 5 or 10 K depending on the measuring span. Class 1.0 instruments come without a thermowell; the vertical stem is fitted straight into the pipe run or the vessel.

How to choose WIKA chemical bimetal thermometers, vertical

What matters when choosing: properties, comparison and typical applications.

Technical data

⚡Display range -50 to +600 °C - fourteen graded measuring ranges, from narrow spans such as 0 to +60 °C up to wide ones such as 0 to +500 °C.
⚡Stem length 63 to 200 mm - four build lengths of 63, 100, 160 as well as 200 mm to suit varying pipe diameters plus insertion depths.
⚡Scale division 1, 2, 5 or 10 K - 1 K on small spans such as -30 to +50 °C, 10 K on ranges reaching +600 °C.
⚡Case size 63 mm plus 100 mm - the 100 mm dial improves readability at a distance, whereas the 63 mm version saves installation space.
⚡Accuracy class 1.0 - the indication deviation stays within 1.0 percent of the scale span, which equals 2 K on a 0 to +200 °C range.
⚡112 versions - combinations of measuring range, stem length plus case size, designed to operate without a thermowell.

Applications

The chemical design serves process engineering, plant construction as well as electroplating plus pickling lines, where water, alkaline solutions, acids, oils or air have to be monitored. Ranges up to +120 °C cover heating, cooling plus service water circuits, whereas ranges up to +600 °C suit thermal oil lines together with flue gas ducts. The span from -50 to +50 °C fits refrigeration plants plus storage tanks, while the vertical stem allows top entry into vessels, pipe bends as well as manifolds.
