WIKA industrial bimetal thermometers, horizontal
Horizontal industrial bimetal thermometers indicate temperature purely mechanically, without auxiliary power. Display ranges run from -30 to +50 °C up to 0 to +500 °C, while the scale division is 1, 2 or 5 K depending on the version.
The series covers 176 versions, in case diameters of 63, 80, 100 and 160 mm, combined with stem lengths of 63, 100, 160 and 200 mm. The process connection is at the back of the case, so the dial stays vertical when the measuring point sits horizontally. Instruments in this group are supplied without a thermowell.

Applications
Typical uses cover heating plus ventilation plants, refrigeration circuits served by the -30 to +50 °C span, hot water lines as well as thermal oil loops up to +250 °C. Ranges of +400 to +500 °C address flue gas ducts along with furnace piping. The horizontal design suits pipework where the stem enters from the side while the dial faces the operator. Without a thermowell the stem reaches the medium directly, which makes this version suitable at unpressurised or lightly loaded measuring points.
