Reducing nipples, parallel male thread

Threaded fittings

Reducing nipples with a parallel male thread carry an external thread on one side and an internal thread of smaller or larger size on the other, adapting two port sizes to each other. The programme holds 84 versions with threads from M 3 and M 5 up to G 2", rated for operating pressures to 40 bar.

Both threads are parallel, so sealing is done by a sealing element or a sealing edge at the collar, never by the thread itself. Thread pairing, material and hexagon size govern the choice: brass, nickel plated brass and stainless steel 1.4571 are offered across hexagon sizes from 7 to 60 mm.

🔧Threads M 3 to G 2" - male threads from G 1/8" to G 2", female threads from M 3 and M 5 through G 1/8" up to G 1-1/2".

📏Hexagon 7 to 60 mm - thirteen steps, among them 14, 17, 19, 24, 30, 42 and 51 mm across flats.

⚡Up to 40 bar - parallel thread pairing, rated for operating pressures up to 40 bar.

🌡Brass, nickel plated or 1.4571 - plain brass for compressed air, nickel plated for visible installations, stainless 1.4571 for corrosive fluids.

⚙Enlarging versions too - besides reductions there are pairings such as male G 1-1/4" to female G 1-1/2".

Adapting device ports in compressed air treatment, hydraulic power units and test benches whenever a valve, cylinder or instrument carries a thread other than the line. Small sizes with female M 3 or M 5 serve to mount pressure gauges, flow restrictors and sensors on manifold blocks. Versions in 1.4571 are used in chemical plants and cleaning systems.
