Elastomer expansion joints with flanged ends for DN 50 to DN 300 in ratings PN 10 and PN 16 to DIN and EN, 65 versions.
The bellows is made from EPDM, NBR or butyl (CIIR) according to the medium; EPDM and NBR are also offered in a high temperature build. The joints are supplied without a shut-off valve. Examples are DN 50 with an EPDM bellows, DN 100 with an NBR bellows in high temperature form and DN 300 with a butyl bellows.
Expansion joints absorb thermal growth, installation offset and vibration between a pump and its pipework.
They are fitted directly downstream of pumps or compressors in heating, cooling and process circuits, decoupling the machine from the pipe network. Material choice follows medium as well as temperature: EPDM for water service, NBR for oil bearing media, butyl for chemically loaded circuits.
