Ball valves and shut-off valves
Pneumatic pinch valves close a line by squeezing an elastic sleeve inside the housing through control air. The fluid touches the sleeve only, never the housing, and the open bore stays free of edges or dead space. The series carries female threads from G 1" to G 4", is rated PN 6 and stays open in the rest position. The range holds 123 items, valves and spare sleeves together.
Three details govern the choice: nominal size, housing material, sleeve quality. Housings come in aluminium as well as POM, while sleeves are offered in EPDM, in abrasion resistant natural rubber or in natural rubber of food grade quality. Overall length grows along the nominal size, from 120 mm on G 1" to 185 mm on G 2" and 280 mm on G 4". Sleeves count as wear parts and can be reordered singly from DN 10 up to DN 80.
Choose the sleeve by the medium first: abrasion resistant natural rubber for sand, granulate and other solids, EPDM for aqueous or alkaline fluids, food grade natural rubber for product lines. Then settle housing material and nominal size, checking the 120 to 280 mm overall length against the pipe run. Control pressure has to exceed line pressure so that the sleeve closes fully, while PN 6 caps the permissible working pressure. During a sleeve change the housing stays in the line, only the insert of matching nominal size from DN 10 to DN 80 gets replaced.
Shut off and dosing duty on abrasive media in bulk solids and cement plants, handling sand, gravel, granulate, powder or sludge, where ball valves and gate valves wear out quickly. Food and beverage lines run the food grade natural rubber sleeve, waste water and treatment plants the EPDM version. The unobstructed bore without dead space makes flushing and cleaning of the line easier.
