TÜV angle safety valves for liquids

Angle safety valves for liquids limit the pressure in closed circuits and vessels and discharge as soon as the preset value is exceeded. The range covers 213 versions with connection threads from G 1/2" to G 1-1/2" and nominal sizes from DN 10 to DN 25. Inlet and outlet are arranged at 90 degrees to each other, so the valve can be fitted straight into a pipe corner or onto a vessel socket.

Set pressures are factory set and sealed. Documented values run from 1.0 bar through 2.3 bar, 4.0 bar and 6.6 bar up to 15.0 bar, covering the band from 1 to 16 bar. Besides the standard version, a variant for cooling circuits is available.

How to choose TÜV angle safety valves for liquids

What matters when choosing: properties, comparison and typical applications.

Technical data

⚡Nominal sizes DN 10 to DN 25 - graded seat cross sections for small side circuits up to main lines
⚡Connection threads G 1/2", G 1", G 1-1/4" and G 1-1/2" - direct fitting into common unions without adapters
⚡Set pressure 1.0 - 15.0 bar - close grading, among others 1.3 / 3.5 / 6.5 / 9.0 bar
⚡Pressure band 1 - 16 bar - one valve per system pressure, factory set and sealed against readjustment
⚡Two versions - standard plus a variant for cooling circuits
⚡213 variants - combinations of nominal size, thread size and set pressure in approved design

Applications

The valves are used in liquid systems such as cooling and refrigeration circuits, heating and hot water installations, pump circuits, pressure vessels and storage tanks. The cooling circuit version starts at 1.0 bar and therefore also suits plants with low operating pressure, while valves rated up to 15.0 bar are placed on pump discharge sides and heat transfer circuits. Larger nominal sizes up to DN 25 are chosen where a controller failure or thermal expansion requires a correspondingly high flow to be released. Installation is at the highest point of the protected section, with free drainage into a collecting line.
