Cutting Ring Fittings

Pre-assembly Socket

Pre-assembly sockets are used to preset cutting rings onto the pipe before the fitting is finally installed. Pre-assembly away from the connection point eases mounting and ensures an even bite of the ring.

These sockets are designed for stainless steel cutting ring fittings and cover metric threads from M8x1.0 to M30x2.0. This allows the matching socket to be selected according to pipe diameter and fitting size.

How to choose Pre-assembly Socket

What matters when choosing: properties, comparison and typical applications.

Design and Function

The pre-assembly socket is an auxiliary tool with the same thread and cone geometry as the fitting body. The pipe is inserted into the socket and the cutting ring preset by tightening the nut; the fitting is then completed at the actual connection point.
