SMC Process Valves control liquid and gaseous media in process technology, from water and chemicals to lubricants and dust-laden flows. The program comprises more than 4,194 items with pneumatically and electromagnetically operated valves.
The designs range from the pneumatically operated 2/2-way valve VNB through solenoid valves to angle seat valves. This allows switching and shut-off tasks to be covered in different media and nominal widths.

Pneumatically operated valves such as the VNB are opened and closed by control pressure.
Electromagnetically operated series such as VDW, VXE and VXZ2 switch via a solenoid coil.
Pilot operated valves such as VXD2 use the medium pressure to assist actuation.
Angle seat design the VXB guides the medium over an inclined seat with low pressure loss.
Process valves switch and shut off media in process, chemical and supply technology systems. The selection depends on the medium, nominal width and type of actuation, for example dust-laden flows for the VXF2 series or lubricants for the SGC.
