The SMC VXB series comprises pneumatically actuated angle seat valves. In an angle seat valve the seat sits at an angle to the flow direction, which gives a large free cross section and a low pressure drop.
The valves are switched pneumatically via a piston actuator. More than 12 items cover different versions for shutting off and releasing media flows.
Angle seat valves are preferred where a high flow rate at low pressure drop is required, for example when switching liquids, steam or contaminated media. The pneumatic actuation allows fast and forceful switching.
