The Nitto Kohki PCV Cupla is a pipe-line quick coupling with check-valve function for noble gases (argon, nitrogen, helium) and vacuum with an operating pressure in the pressure and vacuum range (to -0.1 MPa). For gas and pipe lines, with CR/FKM/HNBR seals.

Operating principle
- Clamps directly on to straight copper pipes eliminating unnecessary welding or flaring.
- Withstands a vacuum of up to 1.3x10-1 Pa (when connected) making it possible to be used in leak testing, vacuum suction and refrigerant charge.
- Select from three standard types of seal materials to be used with fluids for air conditioner and refrigerator production lines. Many models to suit various pipe sizes.
- One lever operation simultaneously clamps and seals pipe.
- Double seal construction for tight fit on end and outside surface of pipe ensures excellent sealing and vacuum resistance.
- Wide variations of end configurations; 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch and blind plug.
- Many models to cover various pipe sizes.
- For exclusive use on straight copper pipes.

Choose PCV PIPE CUPLA when the connection is made directly onto a straight copper pipe and the work involves vacuum: it clamps and seals the pipe in one lever movement and withstands 1.3x10-1 Pa {1x10-3 mmHg} when connected to a pipe, at a working pressure of 4.5 MPa {46 kgf/cm2}. The one sibling series of this category, SP-V CUPLA Type A, is rated 3.0 to 7.5 MPa {31 to 76 kgf/cm2} and is two-way shut-off, so it keeps both sides closed on disconnection, whereas PCV PIPE CUPLA is valveless. Take SP-V CUPLA Type A where the higher pressure or shut-off on both sides is required and no copper pipe has to be clamped.
