The SMC C(D)Q2 S variant is a reinforced version of the C(D)Q2 compact cylinder. It is strengthened against lateral forces and absorbs side loads on the piston rod better than the standard version.
The category contains more than 300 double-acting cylinders with a single piston rod in various bore sizes and stroke lengths. The reinforced guide increases the load capacity under laterally applied forces.
The reinforced version is used where lateral forces act on the piston rod, for example when guiding, pushing or with off-centre load introduction. The increased rigidity against side loads extends the service life of the guide.
