Compact Cylinder C(D)Q2
The SMC C(D)Q2 series in the single-acting standard version comprises compact cylinders with a single piston rod. Single-acting cylinders produce force in one direction only; the return is provided by an integrated spring.
The category contains more than 300 items in various bore sizes and stroke lengths. The order codes S and T denote different spring versions, for example the preferred rest position of the piston rod in the unpressurised state.
Single-acting compact cylinders are used for simple pushing or clamping tasks where a defined rest position on loss of pressure is wanted. The spring return provides a safe home position without a second pressure port.
