Radar level sensors measure without contact. The free-radiating ILT sensor sends a radar signal onto the liquid surface and calculates the level from the transit time. Nothing is immersed in the medium, so there are no moving parts and no deposits on the sensing element.
The measuring range runs from 100 to 5000 mm. Housing and process connection are stainless steel 1.4401/1.4404, the antenna is PEEK, the connection is a G 1/2 male thread with an M12 plug. The ILT-C01 and ILT-C05 series are available with 4 - 20 mA and with 0 - 5 V.
The sensors suit tanks with aggressive or fouling media, measurement through plastic vessel walls and storage and dosing tanks in chemical and water treatment. Wherever a float would jam because of deposits, non-contact measurement is the more reliable answer.
