Festo servo motors drive electric axes, slides and rotary units and deliver controlled speed, torque and position via an integrated encoder. The EMMS-AS series is a synchronous servo motor with encoder, available in several sizes.
This group comprises more than 234 items, with EMMS-AS motors in sizes such as 140 and 190 and various encoder and brake variants (RM, RS, RMB). Together with axis and controller, they form the backbone of electric positioning systems.
Servo motors are used wherever dynamic movements with high positional and repeat accuracy are required, for example in handling, assembly and packaging systems. The integrated encoder enables closed-loop position control, and variants with a holding brake secure vertical axes at standstill.
