Festo motors with integrated controller combine motor, power electronics and control in a single housing, reducing wiring and control-cabinet volume. The EMCA series is an integrated drive with various interfaces.
This group comprises 18 items of the EMCA-EC series, including bus connections such as CO and PN as well as digital inputs and outputs (DIO). The compact design simplifies decentralised drive mounting directly on the axis.
Integrated drives are used where drive electronics should sit decentrally close to the axis to save control-cabinet space and motor cabling. Via fieldbus and digital interfaces they integrate directly into the machine control, shortening wiring and commissioning.
