The SMC VXD2 series comprises pilot-operated 2/2-way solenoid valves. In pilot operation the valve uses the media pressure to assist the switching movement, allowing larger nominal sizes to be switched with a compact solenoid coil.
The valves are designed as single units for shutting off and releasing media flows. More than 36 items cover different seal materials and voltage variants.
Pilot-operated 2/2-way valves suit larger nominal sizes and higher flow rates where a minimum line pressure is available. They are used for switching compressed air and further media in process and plant engineering.
