About Stoppers and screw plugs

Plugs and blanking screws close an unused port of a cutting ring fitting pressure tight, for instance on a manifold or on a branch kept free for a later extension. They save dismantling the fitting or re-routing the line. Tube outside diameters from 6 to 28 mm are covered.

What matters when choosing

• Tube O.D.: 6 to 28 mm. What counts is the tube size the fitting to be closed was made for, not the diameter of the main line.
• PN: the group runs from 160 to 630 bar, the rating dropping as the size grows. Up to 630 bar is documented for 6 mm, 160 bar for 28 mm.
• Design: some plugs suit the light series only, others fit both the light and the heavy series. This has to match the fitting range already installed.
• Material: all 32 items are galvanised steel to DIN 2353, so material and corrosion protection match the rest of the cutting ring assembly.
• Configurable items: four positions are set up as configurators with 8 variants each. PN and tube O.D. are picked directly on the product page, which shortens the search for the right size.
