Festo stainless steel cylinders are piston rod cylinders whose load-bearing parts are made of corrosion-resistant steel, so they are used in damp, corrosive or wash-down environments. The range comprises around 45 items, including the CRDSNU series.
The corrosion-resistant design is particularly suited to the food, beverage and packaging industries and to applications with frequent wet cleaning. The product examples show piston diameters up to 32 mm in graded stroke lengths.
Stainless steel cylinders are used wherever corrosion from moisture, cleaning agents or aggressive media is expected, for example in food and beverage production, packaging and outdoor installations. The choice of material extends service life under wash-down and chemical exposure.
