About Bulkhead connectors

A straight bulkhead fitting takes a pipe run through a wall, a panel or a tank plate and clamps the tube on both sides, so the opening itself carries no load. The group covers tube outside diameters from 6 to 28 mm at PN 160 to 630 bar.

What matters when choosing

• Tube O.D. 6 to 28 mm: the diameter follows the installed pipe. Both sides of the feed-through are the same size, so the line continues unchanged.
• PN 160 to 630 bar: the light version is rated at 315 bar, or 160 bar on the larger diameters, while the heavy version reaches 630 bar. The design pressure of the line decides.
• Material galvanised steel to DIN 2353 or stainless steel 1.4571: stainless is chosen where moisture or aggressive ambient air acts on the feed-through.
• Spanner sizes SW 1 to SW 3 and length L1 are listed per item. Both decide whether there is enough room behind the wall to get a spanner on.
• The wall thickness at the mounting point has to suit the length of the bulkhead thread so the lock nut seats properly.
