About Branch tees

Cutting ring tee fittings branch a rigid pipe run without welding or brazing. As the nut is tightened the cutting ring bites into the tube and takes over both grip and sealing. The range covers tube outside diameters from 4 to 28 mm and is rated PN 100 to 630 bar.

What matters when choosing

• Tube outside diameter from 4 to 28 mm: the size has to match the installed tube exactly, since cutting ring technology cannot compensate for an intermediate size.
• Thread: screw-in versions with R 1/8, R 1/4, R 3/8, R 1/2, R 3/4 and R 1 male thread. Items without a thread figure are plain tube-to-tube tees.
• Pressure rating: PN runs from 100 to 630 bar, while the nickel-plated brass versions are stated at 60 bar operating pressure. The rating falls as tube diameter increases.
• Material: zinc-plated steel to DIN 2353 for high pressures, nickel-plated brass for moderate duty, stainless steel 1.4571 where corrosion is a factor.
• Design: the tee screw-in fitting with a thread on the branch when connecting straight to a device, otherwise the plain tee for three tube ends.

Typical applications

• Branching hydraulic lines at power units and valve blocks.
• Taking off measuring points for pressure gauges and pressure sensors.
• Pipe installation in machine tools, presses and clamping fixtures.
• Lubrication and oil pressure lines in small sizes from 4 mm tube outside diameter.
• Installations built in stainless tube where 1.4571 is specified.

The steel version is zinc-plated and built to DIN 2353, with nickel-plated brass and stainless steel 1.4571 as further options. Production is in Germany and Italy.
