About Union elbows

Adjustable angle fittings turn a tube run through 90 degrees and can be rotated a full 360° into position before final tightening. Sealing is by sealing cone. The series covers tube outside diameters from 6 to 28 mm at PN 160 to 630 bar.

What matters when choosing

• Tube O.D.: 6 to 28 mm, taken from the tube actually installed. The matching nut thread size is fixed for each version.
• PN: 160 to 630 bar. The same tube size exists in several pressure classes, 6 mm tube is listed at both 315 bar and 630 bar, so the system pressure decides.
• Material: galvanised steel to DIN 2353 or 1.4571 stainless steel to DIN 2353. Stainless is the choice where the line sees moisture, cleaning agents or outdoor conditions.
• Sealant: FKM is specified for part of the series and is the option when oil temperature or medium puts more load on the seal.
• Nut internal thread: the connection size has to suit existing cutting rings and nuts if the fitting is added to a line already in place.

Typical applications

• Changing direction on hydraulic power units where there is no room for a tube bend
• Connecting to valve blocks and cylinders where a straight outlet would run into the housing
• Routing tube tight along a machine frame
• Aligning the outlet after assembly when the final position is only settled on site
• Stainless steel lines in plants with a higher corrosion load

All 39 items are built to DIN 2353, in galvanised steel or in 1.4571 stainless steel. Production takes place in Italy and Germany.
