Corner safety valve, for saturated steam and compressed air, G 1/2", DN 10, 11.5 bar, gunmetal

A steam boiler must not exceed its permissible working pressure, not even when the control system fails. This corner safety valve opens at a fixed set pressure of 11.5 bar and releases the excess pressure to atmosphere. The connection is G 1/2" with a nominal size of DN 10. The discharge capacity is 204 m³/h of compressed air. A gunmetal body, a spring steel spring and a seal of EPDM cover the temperature range of -40 to +150 °C.

Applications

Steam boilers to TRD group 1 with a permissible pressure of 11.5 bar. Heat exchangers and steam manifolds with connection G 1/2". Vessels operated within the temperature range -40 to +150 °C. Plants where the component identification has to be presented for acceptance.

Standards and conformity

The valve is type tested and carries the component identification TÜV-SV...-312.10.D/G.0,28 CE0036 11,5 bar. It is supplied with a fixed setting only, so the set pressure of 11.5 bar cannot be altered. A setting certificate to 3.1 is available on request. The version is approved for saturated steam and for steam boilers to TRD group 1.
