Push-in T-fitting »universal short«, rotating 1/2, hose 8 - Riegler 153315
Male branch tee »universal short«, rotating, 1/2, hose-Ø 8, taper seat, Working pressure -0,99 to 20 bar, nickel-plated brass The quick-connect fittings of the »universal short« series are true to their name and are used for the quick and simple connection of hoses. The conical sealing threads off a high degree of flexibility, as it is compatible with both conical and cylindrical threads. Thus the quick-connect fitting can be combined with a wide variety of thread types (BSPP, BSPT, NPT, NPTF, PT, PF) of standards ISO 7.1 and ISO 228. Shorter assembly ties result from the reduced thread length. The smaller hole spacing, resulting from the reduction of the width across flats, enables installation in very tight spaces. This saves time and space. The complete sealing is also guaranteed on uneven, for example inclined, concave or convex surfaces, and with differing radii and chamfers. The special geometry of the seal enables vacuum applications. Areas of application: Pneumatic automation, automotive industry, textile and packaging industry, compressed air circuits, vacuum applications.

About Male branch tees
A push-in T-fitting takes a second outlet directly out of a running compressed air line, so no separate manifold is needed. The tube is pushed in without tools and released via the release ring. The range covers tube outside diameters from 3 to 16 mm at working pressures of 10 to 20 bar.
What matters when choosing
- Pick the thread to match the port. Parallel G threads run from G 1/8 to G 1/2, tapered R threads from R 1/8 to R 1/2, with M3, M5 and M6 available for small valve and cylinder ports.
- The tube O.D. follows the line, not the thread. Sizes from 3 to 16 mm are covered and most thread and diameter combinations are available.
- Material depends on the surroundings. Plastic with nickel-plated brass is the standard build, all nickel-plated brass the fully metallic version, stainless steel 1.4404 the choice for corrosive atmospheres.
- The sealant follows the medium. NBR covers plain compressed air, FKM or FPM suits higher temperatures and oil-bearing media, and the FDA-compliant FKM version is intended for food contact applications.
- Operating temperature starts at -20 °C and ends either at 80 °C or at 150 °C depending on the version. Above 80 °C, check the data table of the individual article.
Typical applications
- Branching the air supply to two cylinders working in parallel on an assembly fixture
- Tapping off a pressure switch or gauge from a continuous line
- Building distribution runs and ring mains along the machine frame
- Linking closely spaced valve ports with M5 threads in tight installation space
- Connecting blow guns and blow-off nozzles to an existing supply line
Threads are made to DIN EN ISO 228-1, ISO 7-1 and DIN 13-1. Besides the Blue Series and Blue Series mini, the inox line, click-clock, metallica, universal short and NonPlusUltra ranges are available, 344 articles in total.
