About Swivel hose fittings

A pivoting hose bushing consists of a banjo bolt and a hose tail ring that turns on it, so the hose can still be aligned after the thread has been tightened. That avoids forced bends in tight installations and takes strain off the hose end. Working pressure ranges from -0.95 bar in vacuum up to 15 bar.

What matters when choosing

• Thread: G 1/8, G 1/4 and G 3/8 parallel male. The existing port on the cylinder, valve or manifold decides the size.
• For hose: the tail ring is available for clear bores of 4, 6 and 9 mm. Hose and tail have to match so the clamp bears evenly.
• Working pressure: -0.95 to 15 bar. The negative figure shows that the connection also works under vacuum, not only under positive pressure.
• Material: banjo bolt in nickel-plated brass, tail ring in brass. The pairing keeps the swivel joint moving freely and takes mechanical load.
• Sealing material: PVC, with a temperature range of -10 °C to 70 °C stated in the product text. Hot circuits and media that attack PVC are ruled out.
