About Autogenous welding and cutting equipment

Oxy-fuel equipment works with a flame of fuel gas and oxygen and cuts or joins steel without any electrical supply. The group holds 26 items, from the handle through welding and cutting inserts to nozzles and seals, with overall lengths of 162 to 333 mm. Handle and insert are joined at the shaft and secured with the union nut.

What matters when choosing

• The welding or cutting range of the insert follows the material thickness. Only then does it become clear which insert belongs on the handle.
• Size 1 to 8 identifies the nozzle. It has to match the capacity of the insert, otherwise flame shape and gas consumption will not be right.
• Shaft Ø: insert and handle must share the same shaft size or the two simply will not fit together.
• Gas connection threads: thread 1 at 21.4x20 male, thread 2 at M20x1.5 female or G 1/4 male, and M10x1.0 male at the nozzles. Oxygen and fuel gas must not be interchanged.
• Gas type together with the oxygen and fuel gas operating pressures is stated per item and has to match the regulators set at the cylinders.
