About Round cylinders Ø 32 - 50 mm

Round cylinders convert compressed air into linear motion and handle clamping, pushing and lifting tasks in automation. This group holds 33 double-acting versions with piston diameters of 32 to 50 mm, strokes from 25 to 500 mm and a working pressure up to 10 bar. The round barrel needs no profile grooves and therefore stays slim.

What matters when choosing

• Piston diameter: 32 to 50 mm within this group. Diameter sets the force at a given pressure, and going larger costs air consumption and installation space.
• Stroke: 25 to 500 mm. Match the stroke to the movement actually required, since surplus stroke adds cycle time and loads the piston rod in buckling.
• Connection: G 1/8 or G 1/4. The larger port allows more flow and shorter travel times, but has to suit the valve size and tubing layout.
• Min. set pressure: 0.3 to 0.4 bar depending on version. That figure matters when the cylinder runs on reduced pressure or works as a sensing axis.
• Max. working pressure and sealant: 10 bar with NBR seals. The range is laid out for compressed air filtered to 50 µm, either lubricated or unlubricated.
