About Hose clamps

Hose clamps hold the hose on the barb and keep the joint from slipping under pressure. They cost little and still decide whether a line stays tight. The group holds 254 articles, from small hose diameters up to industrial hoses with a wide clamping band.

What matters when choosing

• The clamping range has to cover the outside diameter of the hose once it sits on the barb, not the free hose. If the value falls at the edge of the range, the next size up is the safer choice.
• Material class is the real selection criterion. Bright zinc-plated and zinc-plated steel (W1) for dry indoor use, chrome steel 1.4016 (W2) and stainless steel 1.4301 (W4) in damp conditions, stainless steel 1.4401 and 1.4404 (W5) under chemical or salt load.
• Band width sets how the clamping force is spread. Wide bands protect soft rubber hoses, narrow bands fit tight installation positions.
• Every clamp comes with a recommended tightening torque. Tightening by feel either crushes the hose or fails to reach the sealing force.
