Fitting elbow 98, conical sealing, IT/ET, Rp 1/2, R 1/2, Operating temp. -20°C to 300°C, black malleable cast iron, Hot-dip galva. Acc. to DIN EN 10242 (formerly DIN 2950) The classic - and the most popular - screw fitting series for pipe construction. These fittings are characterized by their high mechanical strength and surface quality to DIN 2444. They are completely coated with a layer of pure zinc and are therefore suitable for drinking water

About Union elbows

A union elbow changes pipe direction by 90 degrees and adds a detachable joint, so the run can be taken apart without cutting into it. The group covers female threads from Rp 1/4 to Rp 2 1/2 to ISO 7-1 and is made throughout from black malleable cast iron B350-10.

What matters when choosing

• Thread 1 sets the nominal size and is available from Rp 1/4 female to Rp 2 1/2 female.
• Thread 2 decides the layout. Rp 1/2 to Rp 2 female gives a female to female joint, while R 1/2 to R 2 male gives a taper male connection.
• The sealing principle separates the two designs. The flat-sealing elbow 95 is rated to 200 °C, the taper-sealing elbow 96 to 300 °C.
• Choose the surface, black or hot-dip galvanised, according to how damp the surroundings are.
• The temperature range starts at -20 °C. Maximum temperature and maximum operating pressure must not occur at the same time.

• Heating and hot water lines with frequent disconnection points.

The fittings are made to DIN EN 10242, formerly DIN 2950, with a surface quality to DIN 2444. The material is black malleable cast iron B350-10 Design Symbol A and production takes place in China.
